TOWN TEEN TROUPE (T3)
T3’s mission is to provide musical theatre/performing arts development and performance experiences for older youth at Town Theatre – typically those in 9th through 12th grades. T3 students are introduced to multiple faculty and guest artists who focus on PROCESS. By honing their vocal, dance and dramatic skills, students gain performance experiences that are intentional and unique. T3 focuses both on ensemble work AND individual progress for each student.
T3 is a year-long commitment with classes being held on MONDAYS from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. As we progress throughout the season, the last hour of class may be designated for smaller group work. This will be scheduled with advance notice. Participation is by audition only. Typically, students who are in T3 in a given year are invited to return the following year.
TOWN TWEENS
Town Tween’s mission mirrors that of T3, but is geared toward students in 5th to 8th grade. Like T3, Town Tweens are introduced to multiple faculty and guest artists with a focus on skill development and the processes involved in performing. Tweens participate in intentional and unique performance experiences. Tween faculty focuses both on ensemble work AND individual progress for each student.
Town Tweens classes involve a year-long commitment with classes held on WEDNESDAYS from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. As we progress throughout the season, the last half hour of class may be designated for smaller group work. This will be scheduled with advance notice. Participation is by audition only. Typically, students who are in Tweens in a given year are invited to return the following year. Tweens who wish to participate in T3 as 9th graders must audition.
AUDITIONS
Auditions for T3 are being scheduled Monday, August 4 and Thursday, August 7. To audition, please prepare a song selection to showcase your vocals (30-60 seconds or a verse and a chorus) as well as a monologue of your choice. Please visit this link for details. Auditions for Tweens will be determined after the conclusion of our Triple Theat summer camp. After this camp, we will determine the capacity for additional auditions.
