This dynamic youth theatre workshop offers students the chance to learn to play a musical instrument, develop stage presence and perform as part of a real rock band. Students will work as a team during the initial week of camp. Check ins will be scheduled throughout the summer with small groups. Then, the students will return for one final “mic check” on Thursday, August 7 (from 4 PM to 7 PM) before their showcase on Friday, August 8 at 7 PM. This workshop will give you the tools you need to walk into your next audition feeling ready and confident. Learn how to break through the uncertainty of learning a new piece and owning your audition in a fun, safe and constructive environment. You’ll experience coaching on a monologue and a short vocal performance piece. We’ll discuss relaxation and focusing techniques. By week’s end, we will hold a mock audition so you can practice what you have learned.
