Ten strangers are trapped in an isolated English mansion during a storm. One by one… each meets an untimely – and hysterically absurd – demise. But who is behind the murder? Will anyone survive long enough to solve the mystery? There’s no doubt… something’s afoot!

Our cast of delightful caricatures help make the musical both a parody and a celebration of the genre of traditional murder mystery traits. Our sharp-tongued and persistent amateur detective, Miss Tweed, is taken by Shelby Sessler (Beauty and the Beast). The manor’s caretaker, Flint, is under the watch of Town newcomer, Wayne Wright. Our ingénue, Hope Langdon, and her romantic hero, Geoffrey, are played by Katie Gatch (Something Rotten) and Zach Hathaway, making his Town debut. Dr. Grayburn, who may not be as professional as he seems, is portrayed by Nathan Wright, also appearing for the first time on the Town stage. The self-important, retired Col. Gillweather is taken by Jeffrey Sigley (Something Rotten). The mansion’s help is found in Lettie, the saucy maid, in the capable hands of Meg Greeley (Grease) and Clive, the faithful butler, played by Will Dowd (Beauty and the Beast). Nigel Rancour, the brooding and suspicious black sheep of the family is taken by Jack Bingham (Anything Goes) with Lady Grace Manley-Prowe, the grande-dame, played by Lisa Baker (The Wizard of Oz). And, to add even more intrigue is our Greek-like ensemble including Town veterans Zanna Mills (The Play That Goes Wrong) and Robin Saviola (Bright Star) as well as Town newcomers, Gillian Lease, Tracey Lease and Kelsey McGarrigan.

You’re sure to enjoy this spoof on Agatha Christie-style mysteries, blending suspense, slapstick comedy and delightful musical numbers. Come see whodunit as Town Theatre presents Something’s Afoot, a hilarious musical murder mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat – while laughing – through every twist and turn!
