Tuesday, May 5 is Midlands Gives Day ~ that magical time when every nonprofit you’ve ever crossed paths with shows up in your inbox. Yep… including us here at Town Theatre.
But wait — we’re not just asking for a donation. We’re bringing back our epic, high-stakes, applause-worthy tradition…
LAST CAST STANDING!
Every cast and crew member from our 106th season* is invited to give to Town Theatre through Midlands Gives. Your donation earns points for your cast — and the cast with the highest percentage of participation wins ultimate bragging rights as the official LAST CAST STANDING for the year. (Seriously, we might make you a sash.)
But there’s more…
If your cast hits 50% participation, you’ll score an invite to a “party with the plant” at the theatre on Saturday, May 30 at 2 PM. Good vibes, good eats and good theatre people? Yes, please!
Plus, your gift helps us unlock a matching pool — your generosity goes twice as far! So please Give to Town!
Here’s the plan:
We know Midlands Gives can be a little intense, so we’re keeping it simple. You’ll hear from me via e-mail/Facebook next week and again on giving day. That’s it. Pinky promise. (Unless you’ve done a bunch of Town shows, in that case, you might be our favorite and hear from us more.)
A few final notes:
- Eligible groups include: main stage shows in our 106th season, summer 2025 and 2026 shows, youth productions (Seussical Jr., Winnie the Pooh KIDS and Into the Woods Jr.), and all our Town Tween & T3 Troupes (counted as one group).
- If you were in multiple shows, your gift counts for each one.
- Theatre family? You’ll all get credit – we can share the love, for certain!
- Minimum donation: $10 (but we love gifts of all sizes!)
- All donations are 100% tax-deductible and will be recognized in upcoming playbills, online, and on social media.
