Town Theatre’s Youth Take the Stage with a Whimsical Double Feature with Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS and Into the Woods Jr.
Town Theatre proudly presents a delightful weekend of youth theatre magic April 17–19, featuring a special two-part production performed by its talented student performers.
Audiences will first journey to the Hundred Acre Wood with Winnie the Pooh KIDS, a heartwarming and playful adventure filled with beloved characters like Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and friends. This charming adaptation brings friendship, imagination and a touch of “hunny” to the stage as Pooh sets off on a quest that proves the sweetest things in life are the friends we keep close. This production stars our students in Kindergarten through 4th grade.
Then the tone deepens as students present Into the Woods JR., a fast-paced and witty retelling of classic fairy tales. Featuring familiar characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Jack (of beanstalk fame), this musical weaves their stories together with humor, heart, and meaningful lessons about wishes, consequences and growing up. Our 5th grade through 12th grade students will share the tales with delight!
This double feature truly showcases the range and talent of Town’s youth performers. From the joyful innocence of Winnie the Pooh to the layered storytelling of Into the Woods, these students bring incredible energy, dedication, and heart to the stage.
Performances will take place April 17 – 19 at Town Theatre. Town’s Monday/Tuesday classes will perform Friday, April 17 at 7 PM and Saturday, April 18 at 3 PM. Town’s Wednesday/Thursday classes will perform Saturday, April 18 at 7 PM and Sunday, April 19 at 3 PM. This family-friendly production is perfect for audiences of all ages and celebrates the creativity and hard work of the theatre’s vibrant youth program.
