Town Theatre’s Home for the Holidays Celebrates the Season with Veteran Performers, Talented Youth and Special Guests
Town Theatre presents Home for the Holidays, a heartwarming celebration of the season, filled with festive music, dance and community spirit. This showcase unites an exceptional cast of Town veterans, youth theatre students, and cherished friends returning “home” to Columbia’s most historic stage.
Audiences will revel in the holiday magic as some of Town Theatre’s most beloved performers take the stage, including powerhouse vocalists like Lisa Akly (Peter Pan),
Lou Boeschen (The Marvelous Wonderettes), Kathy Hartzog (Hello, Dolly!), Heather Hinson Miller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical),
Rebecca Seezen (Anything Goes), Shannon Willis Scruggs (Always… Patsy Cline) and Kayla Welch (Beauty and the Beast). They’ll be joined by a stellar lineup of male vocalists, including Alex Cowsert (Million Dollar Quartet), Jeremy Hansard (Big Fish), Davis Herndon (The Wizard of Oz), Clayton King (The Addams Family), David LaTorre (Something Rotten), and Scott Vaughan (The Music Man). Bringing extra holiday spark are our talented dancers: Agnes Babb (Nine to Five), Ashley Epperson (The All Night Strut!), Christy Shealy Mills (Mary Poppins), Zanna Mills (Bright Star), Kristy O’Keefe Satterwhite (Mamma Mia) and Kendall Scruggs (Anything Goes). Bill DeWitt (Moon Over Buffalo) serves as our evening’s emcee.
Town’s youth theatre student groups, the Town Tweens and Town Teen Troupe (T3), elevate the excitement of the holiday festivities. Special guests returning to the Town Theatre stage include *Josh Finch (Big Fish, Beauty and the Beast), Nathan Jackson (Elf: The Musical, The Sound of Music), Lee Martin (Hairspray, Hello, Dolly!), and Kerri Roberts (West Side Story, My Fair Lady). This extraordinary cast creates a homecoming full of nostalgia, joy and holiday cheer.
Audiences can anticipate a vibrant repertoire of holiday classics, enchanting surprises and touching moments conceived by Michael Simmons, who also serves as music director alongside Jane Cato and Amanda Hines Wrona. The show’s choreography is led by Joy Alexander, Ashley Epperson, Christy Shealy Mills, Roxanne Rich, Kristy Satterwhite, Kendall Scruggs and Shannon Scruggs. Home for the Holidays boasts set design by Bob Bramhall, lighting by Jeremy Hansard, sound design by Clark Wilson, props by David LaTorre and stage management by Morgan Ruebusch.

Home for the Holidays runs December 6 to 15. All performances are at 7:30 PM except for 3 PM matinees on Dec. 8, 14 and 15. Tickets are available to Priority Members starting November 19, Regular Members starting November 21 and the public starting November 26.
