The months since the theatre was forced to close down due to COVID have been challenging, to say the least! We calculate our losses to date at just under $500,000. We feel fortunate to be one of the small businesses that could re-open. Limited productions and small youth theatre classes over the last quarter have given us great hope! However, now more than ever, we need your help. If you are in a position to consider a gift to Town, we’d be so grateful. Gifts of any amount are appreciated but we do have some options that you might wish to consider.

Make your gift recurring! Our system allows donors to designate if a gift is recurring monthly, quarterly OR annually. Some donors enjoy recurring gifts as they provide constant support and work well with personal budgets.

Join our Have a Seat Campaign. A gift of $500 qualifies you to name a seat in our historic auditorium. Read more HERE.

On-line gifts may be made here.
Or, feel free to send your check, payable to Town Theatre, to 1012 Sumter Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

Blessings in Disguise
Prior to COVID, we were fortunate to have started our capital campaign which allowed us to renovate (and pay for!) the Will Moreau Youth Theatre Wing as well as the upstairs dressing rooms. If the Youth Theatre Wing had not been completed by this time, we would not have been able to host more than one class at a time this fall which would have allowed only 10 students per day. In addition, the area permits us to distance our casts so that we are being as safe as possible.
