Rising 5th to rising 7th grade
12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

The show selected for each camp will be age-appropriate and the final selection will be made by teachers once class enrollment is complete. (For example, our high school students would NOT be cast in Annie! We’ll save that gem for the younger students.)

Students will focus on a different aspect of the show and will work toward presentation pieces for the showcase. For example, if a class is assigned Matilda, the class will learn 2-3 performance numbers from Matilda that incorporate different types of dance. Scenes will be created to allow each student the opportunity to work on character development and line delivery. In addition, students will work on costume or prop creation – bringing the whole musical theatre experience together in one capsule.

All MUSICAL THEATRE BOOTCAMPS will have a joint showcase ON THE TOWN THEATRE STAGE on Friday evening, June 17 at 7:00 PM. Cost of camp includes two showcase tickets as well as costume/prop supply cost. Additional $5 showcase tickets should be available for purchase.
